So, I have begun my series orange. In this series I am going to environmental locations which I have a very established mental connection, and am trying to visualize these connections physically. I have gathered Potassium Nitrate, Sugar, and Baking Powder to create my own smoke flares, and have dyed them orange.
This is the first test run to make sure my hand crafted fuses, and calculation for grams for the substances used is correct. I feel confident with what the results will be.
When I move into the production now the work will be
1. Shot at twilight, or late afternoon/early morning
2. the camera will switch angles to be facing with the back to the wind, so the lines snake and trail going away from the camera as opposed to horizontally
3. the lines will be orange smoke, and powder installations.
